Adding to this the fact that until relatively recently the public at large was illiterate, and therefore the only source they had for receiving Christian truth was from their Church, the perplexity of the entire scenario becomes rather vivid. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, such also the Holy Spirit; uncreated is the Father, uncreated the Son, uncreated the Holy Spirit; infinite is the Father, infinite the Son infinite the Holy Spirit; eternal is the Father, eternal the Son, eternal the Holy Spirit; yet they are not three eternals but one eternal, just as they are not three uncreated beings or three infinite beings but one uncreated and one infinite.

Here are some quotations from The Clear Word for Kids, a children's version of The Clear Word which also was written by Jack Blanco and which the Seventh-day Adventist Church also publishes, advertises, and sells: "26. On the other hand, it opens the way for Christianity to become truly catholic in the sense of embracing all cultures as genuinely other. They will not, of course, worship themselves but the divine Father whose image they are. I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370).

God allows floods, droughts, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, etc. Thus, there is a clear difference in "the God" and "in nature God", as the Apostle John wanted his readers to recognize. Thus he writes in his letter to the Romans that the Divine Spirit bearswitness to our spirit that we are God's children (Romans, 8:16). We call this “The Law of Non-Contradiction”. “A” cannot be the same as “non-A”. Wright and to describe these historical Jesus theories in an accurate and concise way.

Many treat Eschatology as an area of theology to be avoided. Horace Bushnell said, ‘It would be easier to untwist all the beams of light in the sky and to separate and erase one of the primary colors, than to get the character of Jesus out of the world.’ 2. The Unity School of Christianity, an offshoot of New Thought, was founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in 1891. In his The Theandric Nature of Christ, David Coffey sets out to concentrate on the unity of Christ without thereby devaluing his humanity over against his divinity. His study transfers the focus of his unity from the divinity to the humanity, so that the former is clearly seen to be actualised in the latter. Coffey argues that the theandric, or divine-human character of Christs human nature emerges from a critical study of Karl Rahners Christology that deepens our understanding of human nature itself. (1999,405) He notes that in a 1958 essay Rahner had argued that human nature has when assumed by God as his reality, simply arrived at the point to which it strives by virtue of its essence. (1999, 411-12) This view proposes a deeper understanding of human nature - that human nature is essentially oriented towards its own divinisation, while Coffey maintains that Christs divinity is actualised within his human nature.

But such a theory of signification reflects an impoverished ontology that causes insuperable Christological problems." Because the divine mystery is fully present in the human Jesus, this works as a powerful symbol for the reality of God's pathos and love in human history. That is, it is both “inadvisable” as well as “superfluous” to set up a doctrine of the “virgin birth,” since (1) it focuses too much on something pertaining to a “purely scientific character”; (2) it feeds into other positions about Mary or about sex that are totally unwarranted; CG, I, pp, 68-69 (ET, 406-407). 31 He insisted that one cannot simply assume that John makes up discourses to ascribe to Christ.

The Orthodox Churches (Eastern and Oriental) typically do not limit the number of sacraments, viewing all encounters with reality in life as sacramental in some sense, and their acknowledgement of the number of sacraments at seven as an innovation of convenience not found in the Church Fathers. This is not a pantheism--the web is not God. Persona was the Greek word used to describe the mask that actors wore (think the comedy/tragedy masks that you see on a play’s Dramatis Personae) and thus the “persons” of the Trinity are meant to suggest the ways that God is encountered: as Father/Creator, as Incarnate in Jesus, as the Spirit of Holiness.
